GRAND COUNCIL OF KNIGHT MASONS
Most Excellent Great Chief
Year 2019 – Year K.M. 2555
M.E. Sir Knight Bernard V.A.P.J. Woods
The Grand Council of Knight Masons is a Sovereign Masonic Order with control of the ancient Irish degrees known as the Red Cross or Babylonian Degrees. These ancient Irish Degrees of Knight Masonry are of high esoteric and symbolic value and the building of the second Temple forms the theme.
Persia Council, No. 008, was dedicated in 2008 as our Research body for further discovery of our history and is based at Freemasons’ Hall, Dublin, Ireland. Papers and or submissions are always welcome and will receive respectful scholarly examination by this research body.
The Grand Council of Knight Masons’ Councils now number 115 and are located in Ireland and in Ohio, U.S.A.; South Africa; Hong Kong; Jamaica; Tasmania; India; Gibraltar; Australia; New Zealand; Bermuda; Greece; England and Singapore. Today the Chivalric Order of Knight Masons is rapidly growing in membership with the ever developing presence of Councils around the globe.
Craft Masons, advanced as Mark Master Masons and Royal Arch Masons, are eligible and welcome to become Knight Masons, thus attaining the rank and dignity of the complete series of degrees within Irish Universal Masonry.
Those who qualify do not have to be invited, they are encouraged to enquire.
It is often said that Knight Masonry is the friendliest and most relaxed of all our Masonic branches. Whilst Knight Masonry is a global institution, Councils are fraternally bound together. By becoming a Knight Mason, one discovers a closer degree of friendship and fellowship with brethren.
Thank you for visiting us.
Bernard V.A.P.J. Woods
